The Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Sam Pyne, has praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for its significant impact on the Ashanti Region, claiming that nearly half of the country’s ongoing projects have been secured in the region under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
In an appearance on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show with Kwame Tanko, Sam Pyne dismissed claims from the opposition NDC regarding a lack of development, calling their statements mere propaganda.
He highlighted that key infrastructure, including flyovers, interchanges, and health facilities in the region, were all delivered by the NPP.
“Every major flyover, interchange, and healthcare facility in the Ashanti Region was completed by the NPP. We have also finished and inaugurated all the projects that were started by Kufuor but left unfinished.”
Additionally, he emphasized the completion and commissioning of projects initially started under former President Kufuor’s administration but left unfinished.
Sam Pyne expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia will be sworn in as Ghana’s next President on December 7, 2025, underscoring the NPP’s continued commitment to development in Ashanti.
