Arrest Us All, No Intimidation Will Break Us – Afenyo-Markin Dares NDC
Minority Leader vows NPP will not bow to intimidation ahead of 2028 elections.

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has declared that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not be cowed by what he describes as political persecution under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
Speaking after the debate on the 2025 Budget Statement on Tuesday, March 25, the Effutu MP insisted that no level of intimidation or arrests would weaken the NPP’s resolve.
“You can arrest all of us, but we will remain resolute. No amount of intimidation will break our spirit. In 2028, we will defeat you and restore true governance to this country,” he asserted.
Afenyo-Markin accused the Mahama-led administration of weaponizing state institutions to suppress political opponents, warning that governance should be about national progress, not political witch-hunting.
“A government that prioritizes persecution over progress is bound to fail. Ghanaians are watching, and they will decide in 2028,” he cautioned.
He urged his party members to stand firm in the face of what he termed “politically motivated arrests,” reaffirming the NPP’s commitment to defending democracy and holding the government accountable.
