Akufo-Addo Unveils Statue of Himself at Effia-Nkwanta Hospital to Mark Western Region Tour
President celebrates development achievements while urging support for Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy and highlighting his Free SHS policy as a key legacy

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has unveiled a statue of himself at the entrance of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi, during his one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region.
The statue honors his administration’s contributions to the region, including the rehabilitation of the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
Despite these ambitious projects, several remain unfinished or have been stalled.
Speaking in Takoradi on November 6, the President highlighted his government’s achievements, claiming to have fulfilled 80% of his campaign promises. He also urged voters to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections to ensure the continuation of these initiatives.
Additionally, Akufo-Addo reiterated that the Free SHS policy is his most significant legacy, emphasizing its profound impact on the education system across the nation.
