The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has ramped up its pursuit of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, issuing a wanted notice just days after declaring him a fugitive.

Released on February 17, 2025, the poster includes Ofori-Atta’s personal details, photograph, and a warning that he is sought in connection with several high-profile corruption cases. These include the Strategic Mobilisation-GRA contract, the termination of the ECG-BXC deal, National Cathedral payments, and the Ambulance Procurement contract.

The OSP’s announcement, made via X, also noted the possibility that Ofori-Atta may be located in the United States or the United Kingdom.

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng had previously stated on February 12, 2025, that Ofori-Atta must return to Ghana immediately to face charges. While Ofori-Atta’s lawyers have indicated he is receiving medical treatment abroad, Agyebeng warned that failure to comply would prompt actions to force his return.

The OSP’s recent actions have sparked controversy, especially after Agyebeng’s claim that a raid on Ofori-Atta’s Cantonments residence was staged.
