A heartbreaking fire at Achimota Kisiman has led to the death of a 4-month-old baby after the parents left home to drink alcohol.

According to Fire Officer ADO1 Alex King Nartey, who spoke on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show, the fire broke out in a wooden structure after the parents, intoxicated, left a gas cylinder on and slept outside.

ADO1 King Nartey said containers and cars near the house were protected from the flames.

He stated that the fire has since been extinguished, but investigations are ongoing to determine further details of the incident.
