Reports reaching Lawsonmultimedia.com reveal a tragic robbery incident at Manso Watreso in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.
On January 13, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., two individuals, identified as Okada riders from Manso Kwabenaso, were lynched by an angry mob after being suspected of involvement in the crime.
The Okada riders, one identified as 26-year-old Japheth, were reportedly hired to transport two unknown individuals from Manso Kwabenaso to Watreso.
Unbeknownst to the riders, their passengers were armed robbers who carried out the heist.
The robbers managed to flee the scene with approximately GHC 11,000, 30 pounds of gold, and car keys, leaving behind their unsuspecting drivers to face the wrath of residents.
The deceased bodies have been transported to St. Martin’s Hospital in Manso Agroyesum by the Manso Adubia District Police.
Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the fugitives and unravel the details of the crime.
