- Forson challenges former Minister Nitiwul to provide evidence for his claim of a private jet
- The Minority Leader emphasizes the need for facts to support such serious allegations
Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has dismissed allegations by former Defense Minister Dominic Nitiwul that President John Dramani Mahama recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) using a private jet.
Addressing Parliament on Wednesday, Dr. Forson clarified that he personally accompanied the former president on the trip, which was made aboard a commercial Emirates flight.
“I traveled with President Mahama on his recent trip to the UAE, and he didn’t use a private jet. I was on the flight with him, and we used Emirates,” Dr. Forson affirmed.
He further challenged Nitiwul to provide evidence to substantiate the claim, stating emphatically, “Mr. Speaker, the immediate past Defense Minister claimed that the President used a rented private jet, and I challenge him to bring evidence now.”
