Paul Kwabena Yandoh, the Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, has publicly apologized to Rev. Owusu Bempah, the Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, for the party’s past missteps.

In an interview Mr Yandoh admitted that the party had wronged the influential preacher, contributing to the party’s poor performance in the 2024 elections.

Mr. Yando explained that the NPP’s failure to support Rev. Owusu Bempah when he was arrested by the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, caused a rift that ultimately impacted the party’s results.

He also acknowledged that the party had dismissed the prophet’s warnings about the election outcome, which ultimately came true.

“We mocked his prophecies, but now we see the consequences,” Mr. Yandoh reflected.

He emphasized that Rev. Owusu Bempah, who supported the NPP during the 2016 and 2020 elections, was not given the respect he deserved, leading to a significant fallout.

Mr. Yando concluded with a heartfelt plea for reconciliation, urging Rev. Owusu Bempah to forgive the party and return to its fold, reaffirming the importance of unity and respect within the NPP.
