Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has expressed unwavering confidence in President John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial nominees, describing them as well-prepared to address Ghana’s pressing challenges.
Agbana highlighted the nominees’ strong credentials and their deep connection with both the grassroots and everyday Ghanaians.
He commended their active participation in the recent campaign, suggesting these qualities would translate into effective governance.
“These appointees have lived and worked among us, deeply engaged in the politics of the day. They are approachable, relatable, and understand the challenges facing ordinary Ghanaians. Given their solid backgrounds and campaign involvement, I would be surprised if they don’t exceed expectations,” Agbana stated.
President Mahama has nominated several high-profile individuals, including Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson for Finance, Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General, John Jinapor for Energy, Governs Kwame Agbodza for Roads and Highways, and Haruna Iddrisu for Education.
Staying true to his promise of a lean government, President Mahama has limited his cabinet to 60 ministers, with the complete list of appointees set to be finalized by Monday, January 20, 2025.
