Charles Asiedu, Member of Parliament for Tano South Constituency, has claimed that the NPP Minority in Parliament is plotting to disrupt government business.

In an interview on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show with Kwame Tanko, Asiedu warned that the Minority should keep in mind that the 9th Parliament is neither one-sided nor a hung Parliament.

He reminded listeners that during former President Akufo-Addo’s tenure, the Minority supported the appointment of a Senior Minister and the Majority then Minority supported the government.

However, he pointed out that Afenyo-Markin criticized President Mahama for making similar appointments, calling them ‘tot-tot’.

Hon. Asiedu further criticized the NPP’s stance, stating that the NPP lost the election due to the deteriorating economy and the rising cost of living, which led to widespread dissatisfaction among Ghanaians who voted them out in anger.

“Mahama has appointed the Finance Minister, Attorney General, and Energy Minister, yet you say the President is making ‘tot-tot’ appointments. The NPP lost the election based on the deteriorating state of the economy and the cost of living, and Ghanaians angrily voted against them.”
