President John Dramani Mahama has sent a clear message to prospective appointees, warning that they will be held to the highest ethical and professional standards.
Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on Sunday, January 12, 2025, Mahama emphasized that taking on public office is not a simple task.
“Anyone appointed to public office must understand that it will not be an easy job, and it won’t be business as usual,” Mahama declared.
He stressed the need for integrity and accountability in governance, reminding future leaders that they are entrusted with the resources and trust of the Ghanaian people. Mahama called on appointees to place the nation’s interests first and adhere to the principles of good governance. “We are stewards of the resources and trust given to us by the people of Ghana,” he added.
