The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has voiced his determination to seek alternative paths to development, emphasizing the need for robust infrastructure and a collaborative approach.

Speaking during a courtesy call by the World Bank Vice President for Western and Central Africa, the monarch highlighted the limitations of relying solely on politicians to advance the Ashanti Region.

“In terms of development, if we have the infrastructure, everything will be fine. I cannot depend on the politicians for my development. I don’t want to depend on them, so let’s have a social contract and then we do it,” Otumfuo Osei Tutu II asserted.

His call underscores the importance of partnerships and collective responsibility in driving meaningful progress.
