President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to completing stalled healthcare projects to improve accessibility and elevate the quality of medical services across Ghana.

Addressing the National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Winneba on January 9, Mahama declared, “We will prioritize infrastructure and human resource investment to ensure accessible, quality healthcare for all.”

He further assured, “Continuing abandoned health projects and operationalizing them will be central to expanding healthcare access nationwide.”

This promise follows an appeal from former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his final State of the Nation Address on January 3, urging Mahama to finish the Agenda 111 initiative. Out of the 111 planned hospitals, only three were completed under the previous administration but remain non-operational.

During his 2024 campaign, Mahama pledged to complete all abandoned national projects if elected, underscoring his dedication to bridging the gap in healthcare delivery.
