Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has highlighted the challenges posed by the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) substantial majority in the House.

Addressing journalists after his swearing-in on January 7, Bagbin assured the public of his dedication to ensuring that parliamentary proceedings remain non-partisan and prioritize national interests.

“I acknowledge that the large numbers from the NDC pose a challenge, but I am committed to steering their focus toward the collective interests of all Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliation,” he said.

Bagbin reiterated his resolve to uphold democratic principles while fostering unity in parliamentary decision-making.
