Afenyo-Markin Promises a New Era of Hard Work as Minority Leader
Effutu MP vows to lead with dedication and steer NPP’s legislative agenda with a fresh team in Parliament
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the newly confirmed Minority Leader for the 9th Parliament, has assured the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of his unwavering commitment to hard work in his new role.
Following his confirmation by the party’s National Council, the Effutu MP expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him, vowing to deliver exemplary leadership.
“I thank the National Council for their confidence in me and their decision to confirm my leadership. My promise is simple: hard work, hard work, hard work. With God as my guide, I will deliver,” he said during a media interaction.
His confirmation is part of the NPP’s strategic efforts to streamline its legislative leadership for the upcoming parliamentary session.
Joining Afenyo-Markin in key leadership roles are:
- Patricia Apiagyei as Deputy Minority Leader.
- Frank Annoh-Dompreh as Chief Whip.
- Habib Iddrisu as First Deputy Minority Whip.
- Davies Opoku as Second Deputy Minority Whip.
