Dennis Kwakwa Appointed Executive Secretary of the Council of Indigenous Business Associations
- Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appointed Mr. Dennis Kwakwa as the Executive Secretary of the Council of Indigenous Business Associations (CIBA).

President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appointed Mr. Dennis Kwakwa, the former Ashanti Regional Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as the Executive Secretary of the Council of Indigenous Business Associations (CIBA).
In a letter dated Friday, November 29, 2024, and signed by Kow Abaka Essuman, the Acting Secretary to the President and Legal Advisor to the President, it was announced that the appointment was made in accordance with Section 5 (1) of the Council of Indigenous Business Associations Act, 1993 (PNDCL 312).
The letter also noted that the appointment is pending the receipt of the required advice from CIBA’s Governing Board in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
Mr. Kwakwa, who previously served as a Manager at the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, brings extensive experience and expertise to his new role.
In his position, he will be responsible for managing and promoting Indigenous businesses, fostering growth in one of Ghana’s key economic sectors, and ensuring a conducive environment for their development.
