The prosecution has upgraded the charges against Daniel Owusu Koranteng, the suspect in the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, to include abetment to commit murder.
This update was presented in court on Wednesday, April 2, during the latest hearing of the case.
Koranteng, who has been in custody since his arrest, is accused of publicly sharing images of Suale prior to his death and allegedly being at the scene of the murder in January 2019.
Initially charged with murder in March, the prosecution has now amended the charges to also include abetment to murder.
The court has remanded Koranteng back into custody, with the next hearing set for April 17.
