Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has commended the 2025 budget, describing it as a testament to the Mahama government’s commitment to fulfilling its pledges.

Following Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson’s budget presentation to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, Ayariga expressed confidence that the budget brings optimism to ordinary Ghanaians while introducing significant economic reforms.

“This is undoubtedly a budget from a government and a party that honors its promises. Nearly every pledge made by the Mahama administration has been fulfilled in less than 120 days,” he emphasized.

He pointed out that the budget prioritizes key sectors, benefiting market women, assembly members, students, and the general public.

“This budget is for Makola women, assembly members, young girls, and schoolchildren. It delivers bold reforms and drives economic growth. By the time we fully implement it, the elephant will shrink—‘osono b3y3 ketekete,’” he remarked, referencing the opposition party’s elephant symbol.

The budget introduces major policy measures aimed at stabilizing and revitalizing the economy.
