Tragedy struck at the Kwadaso Onion Market in Kumasi when a 24-year-old mobile money vendor, Junior, was brutally killed in his room.
The incident, according to reports, is believed to have occurred on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
The deceased, identified as Junior, a native of Ejisu Onwe, was known to his colleagues and friends as a hardworking and diligent individual who worked at the Kumasi Race Course.
According to an eyewitness, Junior had returned home last Saturday with a substantial amount of money—over Gh200,000 (Ghanaian cedis). The witness suspects that the killers may have been motivated by the large sum of money Junior had in his possession.
The police have launched an investigation into Junior’s murder, but no arrests have been made so far.
