Barcelona reclaimed the top spot in La Liga with a decisive victory over Real Sociedad, who played with 10 men for most of the match.

Following Atletico Madrid’s win, Barcelona needed a victory to regain their one-point lead. Goals from Gerard Martin, Marc Casado, Ronald Araujo, and Robert Lewandowski secured the win, extending Barcelona’s winning streak to six games.

Real Sociedad’s challenge was significantly hampered when Aritz Elustondo received a red card in the 17th minute for a foul on Dani Olmo.

Barcelona capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Martin scoring the opening goal in the 25th minute, assisted by Lamine Yamal and Olmo. Four minutes later, Casado’s deflected shot doubled the lead, with Olmo again playing a key role. Both goals marked the players’ first for Barcelona.

Araujo added a third goal shortly after, heading in a corner from Raphinha. Lewandowski completed the scoring in the 60th minute, redirecting Araujo’s shot into the net.

The win puts Barcelona back at the top of the La Liga table, while Real Sociedad, who will face Manchester United in the Europa League, remain in ninth place.
