Former District Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira, Hon. Ambrose Amoah-Ashyia, has accused the immediate past NPP administration of criminal mismanagement, particularly in the energy sector.
Speaking on the Ghana Se Sen show on Lawson TV/Radio, he alleged that the NPP government left behind a staggering ₵70 million debt in the energy sector, a situation he believes demands accountability from those who were in charge.
Hon. Amoah-Ashyia praised President John Mahama’s leadership, stating that his administration is focused and committed to fixing the mess left behind.
Reacting to President Mahama’s 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament, he described it as a significant moment for Ghanaians, asserting that Mahama presented the true state of the nation.
“The NPP left behind a deteriorated economy, but Mahama will fix it. Unlike Nana Addo and Bawumia, who constantly blamed Mahama for economic woes, Mahama will focus on solutions. Over 55 stalled infrastructure projects will be completed under his leadership,” he stated.
He assured Ghanaians that Mahama’s presidency will not be about blame games but about real action and solutions to restore the nation’s economic stability.
