Arsenal’s already slim hopes of winning the Premier League title suffered another blow as they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Nottingham Forest.

Despite dominating possession, Arsenal lacked the attacking firepower to break down a resolute Forest defense.

Their attacking options were severely hampered by injuries to key players Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz.

Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino, leading the attack, struggled to create clear-cut chances.

Arsenal’s best opportunity came in the first half when Riccardo Calafiori’s effort bounced off the post and into the arms of Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.

Sels also denied Merino with a header shortly after the interval.

The draw leaves Arsenal 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool, making their title pursuit increasingly unlikely.

For Nottingham Forest, the point keeps their hopes of Champions League qualification alive, as they remain six points behind Arsenal and two points ahead of Chelsea.
