I Haven’t Sacked NEIP Staff; It’s a Temporary Suspension to Fix Wrongs – Eric Adjei
Eric Adjei clarifies that the viral memo is not about mass dismissals but a necessary move to fix legal and administrative irregularities within NEIP.

- Staff were suspended to address irregularities, not permanently sacked.
- Issues like improper appointments, unpaid SSNIT, and tax concerns are being corrected.
- The CEO insists he won’t endorse wrongdoing and is ensuring compliance with the law.
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has dismissed claims that he has sacked all NEIP staff, clarifying that the memo in circulation only announces a temporary suspension.
Speaking on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show, Mr. Adjei explained that the decision was necessary due to legal and structural irregularities in the employment status of existing staff.
He told host Kwame Tanko that the move aims to correct various anomalies, including improper appointment procedures, SSNIT and tax payment issues, and contractual inconsistencies.
“There were gross irregularities in staff appointments. If they were to be dismissed, they would receive three months’ salary, yet their engagement was categorized as an allowance. They were not enrolled in SSNIT, nor were taxes properly deducted. I cannot allow these illegalities to continue. I am fixing the wrongs and will not endorse wrongdoing,” Mr. Adjei stated.
He assured that the necessary corrections are being made to ensure compliance with legal and administrative protocols.
