Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has reassured Ghanaians that the recent outbreaks of Cholera and Cerebrospinal Meningitis (CSM) are fully under control, thanks to collaborative efforts from the Ministry of Health, the Ghana Health Service, and donor agencies.

Speaking at a media briefing on February 18, Akandoh highlighted the continued push for public awareness, especially as the rainy season approaches, urging citizens to maintain clean environments to prevent further outbreaks. He also stressed the importance of seeking timely medical attention if symptoms arise.

“I’m confident the situation is under control,” Akandoh said. “With WHO’s support and sufficient medical supplies, our health professionals are actively managing the crisis, particularly in the Upper West Region.”

He called on the public to continue cooperating with health initiatives and reported any symptoms early to health facilities.
