The much-anticipated second edition of the Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest has officially begun!
Organized by Pastor Philip Sarpong, CEO of Perfect Grade Publications & Stationery, the contest targets Basic 4 to 6 pupils, assessing their knowledge based on the new curriculum introduced by NaCCA.
After a successful debut in 2024, this year’s edition commenced in Accra, with Laterbiokorshie 1A Primary & KG and Laterbiokorshie 1B & 5 Basic being the first schools to participate in the audition.
Headmistresses Inspire Confidence
Speaking at the audition, Madam Judith Ahiabre, Headmistress of Laterbiokorshie 1A Primary & KG, expressed confidence in her pupils, stating that despite being a public school, they are ready to compete at the highest level.
“We have won quizzes before, and this time, we are coming in strong. Our learners are well-trained, and we believe they will excel,” she assured.
Similarly, Madam Mavis Adu, Headmistress of Laterbiokorshie 1B & 5 Basic, emphasized the importance of assessment, saying it helps both teachers and students track progress.
“People often overlook public schools, but we are all using the same curriculum. This contest is an opportunity to showcase our strength,” she stated.
Teachers & Learners Gear Up for Victory
Teachers from both schools reaffirmed their commitment to preparing students through regular assessments, reading activities, and extra classes.
“We train our learners to be competitive. They are confident, well-prepared, and ready to win,” one teacher noted.
Meanwhile, some students admitted that the audition was challenging but were excited to have answered all the questions.
