A tragic road accident on the Atonsu-Apotuogya highway at Fabi on Saturday afternoon claimed the life of a young woman in her early 20s.
Eyewitnesses report that a Toyota RAV4, with registration number GE 667-22, was traveling at high speed toward Atonsu around 3:45 pm when the driver lost control.
The vehicle swerved onto the pedestrian lane, fatally striking the unsuspecting victim.
One witness, who narrowly escaped the crash, shared her terrifying ordeal Lwason News.
“I was resting at a roadside stop when I saw the car spinning out of control. It was horrifying,” she recounted, adding that a sand-loaded truck in her path may have saved her life.
The shocking incident has left the Fabi community in distress, sparking renewed calls for stricter road safety measures and responsible driving.
