Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, former Chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) and Foreign Affairs Minister, has commended President John Dramani Mahama’s initiative to establish ORAL, calling it a strategic masterstroke in the fight against corruption.

Describing its impact as both timely and transformative, Ablakwa highlighted the overwhelming public engagement with ORAL, which received 1,493 calls via its toll-free line and 924 emails, totaling 2,417 complaints. He emphasized that all communications have been preserved for verification, reinforcing the initiative’s commitment to transparency.

Presenting ORAL’s report to President Mahama in Accra on February 10, Ablakwa underscored the critical role the initiative has played in addressing public concerns and strengthening accountability.

“This proves that President Mahama’s intervention was not only relevant but timely,” Ablakwa stated. “The results vindicate his decision, demonstrating the deepening of transparency and good governance in our country. It was undoubtedly a masterstroke.”
