- ORAL Committee received 2,417 complaints via toll-free calls (1,493) and emails (924)
- Chairman Ablakwa highlights the initiative’s importance in providing an outlet for public grievances
- The complaints form part of efforts to recover looted public funds and ensure accountability
The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee has disclosed receiving 2,417 complaints from individuals and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) as part of efforts to combat corruption and reclaim misappropriated public funds.
Chairman Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa shared these details on Monday, February 10, during the presentation of the team’s final report to President John Dramani Mahama.
Outlining the numbers, Ablakwa revealed, “We received 1,493 calls via the toll-free line and 924 emails. All calls are automatically recorded, and the emails are preserved for verification.”
He further stressed the critical role of the initiative, stating, “For those who doubted its relevance, this is your evidence. Without President Mahama’s intervention, where would these 2,417 complaints have gone?”
