Apostle Nana Kwarteng Amanfo, Founder and Leader of Sankofa Ministries, has made headlines after a prophecy he delivered months ago resurfaced following the tragic death of popular Asante Kotoko SC supporter, Nana Pooley.

Nana Pooley, known in private life as Yaw Frimpong, was fatally stabbed during violent clashes at Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC.

The incident occurred at Nana Konamansah Park in Nsuatre, shortly after Kotoko suffered a 1-0 defeat due to a late goal from substitute Gabriel Bonnah.

In an interview on Lawson TV/Radio’s Ghana Se Sen show with Kwame Tanko, Apostle Amanfo revealed that he had prophesied the incident two months ago.

“What I saw was a group of Kotoko supporters who, though not part of the management team, sought spiritual help for the club. Upon their return, I saw something bursting like a firecracker,” he recounted.

He clarified that the tragedy was not caused by the specific spiritual entity they visited but rather the result of multiple spiritual engagements, which eventually led to an unfortunate clash of forces.

When asked why he did not mention Kotoko’s name directly in his prophecy, he explained, “Prophecies are given in parables to prevent fear and panic.”

He insisted that Kotoko officials could confirm the accuracy of his vision.

Apostle Amanfo emphasized that “what happens spiritually always manifests physically,” and he firmly believes Nana Pooley’s death is a fulfillment of God’s revelation to him.
