A tragic incident unfolded on the evening of Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at Manso Gyeduako in Amansie South District, when 50-year-old Ibrahim Laar was fatally stabbed at his home around 7:30 PM.
According to eyewitness accounts, the attack followed a heated disagreement involving Mr. Laar’s daughter, Mary, and a 28-year-old man named Akwasi George, also known locally as Kucheche.
Mr. Laar’s lifeless body was transported to St. Martin’s Hospital in Manso Agroyesum for postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, police officers from the Amansie South District have launched a formal investigation into the incident.
Residents of Manso Gyeduako have been left shaken by the violent event.
Authorities have urged anyone with additional information about the case to come forward to aid in the investigation.
