Goosie Tanoh, Special Advisor to the 24-Hour Economy Initiative, has described the policy as a flexible, evolving strategy driven by science and rooted in strong social democratic values.

At the official launch held on Wednesday, July 2, Tanoh emphasized that the 24-Hour Economy is designed to adapt to Ghana’s shifting socio-economic landscape, ensuring it remains relevant and impactful over time.

“The secretariat welcomes constructive feedback, as we view the programme as a living initiative—scientifically grounded, socially driven, yet agile enough to respond to new challenges,” he noted.

Tanoh stressed that ongoing learning, openness to stakeholder input, and the willingness to adjust policies will be key to the programme’s long-term success.

“We anticipate learning many lessons and making multiple revisions. That’s the path to meaningful transformation across all timelines—short, medium, and long term,” he said.

He praised President John Dramani Mahama for his vision and commitment to the initiative, calling him “a true champion of responsible entrepreneurship and national transformation.”

Tanoh ended on a hopeful note, urging Ghanaians to believe in the country’s ability to realize the full potential of the 24-Hour Economy.
