2025 Budget Proves Mahama is a ‘Talk-and-Do’ President – Ayariga

Majority Leader applauds Mahama for fulfilling campaign promises, citing tax abolitions as proof of his commitment.

Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has hailed President John Dramani Mahama as a leader who delivers on his promises, calling him a “talk and do” president.

Addressing Parliament, Ayariga emphasized that the 2025 budget reflects Mahama’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign pledges. He highlighted key policy changes, including the abolition of the E-levy, betting tax, and emission levy, as proof of Mahama’s dedication to easing financial burdens on Ghanaians.

“E-levy abolished, E-levy ‘yamutu.’ Talk and do President. Betting tax ‘yamutu.’ Talk and do president,” he declared.

Ayariga further noted that the planned removal of VAT on motor vehicle insurance policies reinforces Mahama’s responsiveness to public concerns.

“Mr Speaker, President John Dramani Mahama promised to abolish the VAT on motor vehicle insurance policy. That is also going. Talk and do president,” he affirmed.
