2025 Budget: Ato Forson Calls for Bipartisan Backing to Drive Transformation

Finance Minister urges Parliament to approve key policies, including the Big Push initiative, Ghana Gold Board, and 24-hour economy, to drive national transformation.

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has called on Members of Parliament to approve the 2025 budget estimates, emphasizing its crucial role in driving economic transformation and growth.

Addressing MPs at the 2025 Post-Budget Workshop in Parliament, Dr. Forson outlined key initiatives such as the Big Push infrastructure drive, the establishment of the Ghana Gold Board, and the Agriculture for Economic Transformation program.

He stressed that the budget includes essential revenue and expenditure measures needed to achieve the country’s fiscal objectives.

“We urge this esteemed House, especially my fellow MPs, to support these measures and pass the necessary legislations swiftly,” he stated.

Dr. Forson also highlighted additional policies designed to stimulate economic expansion, including the introduction of a 24-hour economy for job creation and the rollout of a GH¢10 billion Big Push policy.

As Parliament deliberates, the Finance Minister hopes for bipartisan support to implement these economic strategies and secure Ghana’s financial stability.
