The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results, but with a significant number of cancellations.
After investigating irregularities, WAEC canceled the entire results of 41 candidates and the subject results of 377 others.
Additionally, the results of 33 candidates are currently under review, and 149 schools have had subject results withheld due to suspected cheating.
A total of 569,236 candidates registered for the BECE, with 3,845 absentees.
The examination was conducted across 2,123 centers nationwide.
