A 15-year-old apprentice, Ebenezer Koomson, met a tragic end after drowning in the Jomo River near Juaboso Nkwanta in the Western North Region.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon around 12:10 PM.
Ebenezer, also known as Sofo, had been sent to the river to wash his master’s clothes. It is believed that he took the opportunity to swim, leading to the fatal accident.
Despite desperate efforts to locate him, his body was only recovered at 2:25 PM.
